WORTH CONSUMING!

I was quite embarrassed when my folks ‘caught’ me watching this, back home for Christmas – and decided to join in! Oops! “It’s a bit silly”, I said. Silly’s fine, they replied.

It actually worked out okay, in that overeating fuzz of Christmastime ;) It’s a very very gentle spoof of all things Disney – still pretty saccharine – but it raised a few laughs.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Oh my, how I love this film! I saw it in the cinema when it came out and just finished watching it again now and I must say… not many other films can put such a huge smile on my face than this one. It’s just, there are no words to describe how happy this film makes me, really.

Enchanted makes me want to believe in fairytales and storybook endings. The most wonderful moment in the film? When Giselle sings “That’s How You Know”, it’s by far one of the most adorable and funny moments I’ve ever seen on film.

I need to get this on DVD, luckily Christmas is coming soon… ;)

RAWR!! I was really enjoying this, got about halfway through, then the DVD player broke. I’ll have to borrow it again sometime. Thus far I’m loving the fact that Disney has (gasp) a sense of humor about its own animated films and their unrealistic portrayals/expectations of women. And the two exceedingly attractive male leads don’t hurt either.

D’oh.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I was SO excited about this coming out on DVD. I saw it in the theaters (in French) back in November and just couldn’t wait to see it again, especially in the original English version. I wasn’t disappointed and watched it three or four times since I got it.

The picture & sound are great. The bonus features were okay, for a single-disc DVD. I would have taken more making-of because it was all quite interesting. I guess I should get a Blu-ray player because the pop-up Disney facts seemed great, with many references to classics explained. But oh well! What does matter most is still the movie after all.
