My brother made a subscription to a publishing house specialised on eastern spirituality. So I had the occasion to browse some of these books and I learnt about Milarepa and read about buddhist mystic and wise tales.
This is what I was expecting to see in this movie. I was disappointed. Milarepa is a young boy who seeks revenge for the injustice done to his family. He masters the evil powers. And then he attacks his foes. We learn too little about the wisdom of his teachers and when it gets better, the movie stops. It has only 90 minutes.
It looks more like Lord of the rings. Not deep, bring the kids to see it.
