Loved the nonfiction bits, could take or leave the poetry. I was disappointed with Ms. Nelson and her completely hideous use of Italian stage dialect, or whatever it was supposed to be. The book itself is a thing of beauty – design-wise, illustrations, etc.

I feel a bit betrayed, I must confess. I expected much more from Ms. Nelson. The nonfiction info was more compelling than the poetry. And the poetry… ugh. I would throw most of it away, ESPECIALLY the tragic Italian-ethnic dialogue. What were you THINKing, Marilyn?
