I love fringe documentaries, it seems — 26 weeks ago
Confessions of a Superhero documents the daily lives of four superhero impersonators who work everyday on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of (not with) Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, hoping to make ends meet by accepting tips in exchange for taking pictures with tourists while striving for a breakthrough in the film industry.
Viewed by some as nothing but annoyances, costumed panhandlers, this documentary manages to make the characters come alive, and you can’t help but sympathize with their struggle (even if they sometimes weird or creep you out too)
The cinematography and flow of the story is masterful and makes it a joy to watch.
