WORTH CONSUMING!

Exaggerated spoof of everything music. Takes a swipe at Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Brian Wilson, R&B, Punk Rock, Blues, Hip Hop, song writing, auditions, the recording industry, groupies, drug culture, race, religion, sex, rehab, marriage & divorce, band break-ups … did it miss something? The sound track is actually not half bad. Jack Black’s cameo as Paul McCartney is a nice shift of gears from John C. Reilly’s Forrest Gump-like character, Dewey Cox. Look for Numb3rs star David Krumholtz as an agent – talent, not government. There are real singing stars in abundance, too, from the original Temptations to Lyle Lovett. Silly fun, nothing more.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

it started out bad. it didn’t get any better. i couldn’t finish it. what i watched was ridicoulous. he cuts brother in half and he marries a 12 yr old. i know it’s a spoof or something like that but it wasn’t like scary movie or the naked gun movies. it was trying to appeal to little boys.
