Page 174 changed my life: ”’I remember when we lived like that. Always moving. Always running away.’ ... To break free from that fear, to run in hope and despair, to run and to find that all the time you were carrying him inside you like a malignant child …”
How foolish, but yes I think I too have for many years carried my fear with me like a malignant child, unable to abandon it yet unable to live without it.
Put into this perspective, I find it possibly easier to let go of than I thought. I’m glad I read this book.
