WORTH CONSUMING!
Goldfrapp’s fourth album represents a bit of a departure from her earlier efforts. Seventh Tree sounds more acoustic and relies heavily on string arrangements. The pulsating beats are noticeably absent, but this allows listeners to hear Goldfrapp’s exquisite voice. She sounds more like Kate Bush than I ever realized, especially on the album opener “Clowns.” It’s a somber album that shows her growth as an artist.
