This, the first book in E.E. Doc Smith’s Lensman series, is a wonderful, fast-paced space opera, full of aliens, high-tech space ships, space battles, and more. It was a fun and compelling read, and like most of the sci-fi of it’s time, an incredibly imaginative look at what the future might be like.
