Ah, the usual mini-series awfulness, especially when it comes to extras/battle scenes – were the Visigoths really so scrawny? How did Roman soldiers manage to keep their skinny little legs quite so white marching around in skirts all the time? And isn’t it nice that the 20-odd extras stick close together whilst fighting, with miles of open space surrounding them? So friendly! ;)

On the other hand, we have the Butler. Ye gods, the awfulness of the transatlantic accent. The wtf under-toga nappy thing. The gormless expression on encountering hot water.

Ah… but I’m still gleefully sticking the video in for 20-minutes or so at the end of the day! Guilty little pleasures ;)
