I loved the character of Sharrow, and I enjoyed this book. I found the ending a bit dissatisfactory, though. And I didn’t realise till after I finished reading it that it wasn’t a Culture book – I kept expecting them to pop up somewhere!

NOT WORTH CONSUMING
Didn’t seem any good when I started it, but it sort of grew on me. Not nearly the author’s best work, though.
