better late than never… loving it, finally!
I am SO glad i was required to read this for a class, because after reading it for the first time for English in grade 12 i decided that it was the hardest, most complex, most challenging novel (novella) ever written, and i believed that until a few days ago when i picked it up for a second year university course. having read it a second time i understood so much more (which, to be honest, isn’t say THAT much as i didn’t understand a WORD the first time round) and because i understood it (relatively better) i enjoyed it so much more. i really like the layers and layers and layers of the narration and how it’s such a debate as to WHOSE story this really is: the 1st person narrator’s, marlow’s, kurtz’s, etc…

Reading as a result of the summer book club of two. So far? Not far enough in to say how I like it. We’ll see.

It’s worth consuming, as it’s a classic, but I can say I was a huge fan of this book, I found it the story telling a bit scattered.
