My cousin recently came to live in my town, and since he lives in the University dorms five minutes away from me, he comes and does his laundry at my place – which is really a big excuse for us to see each other. So anyway, we agreed that he can use our washing machine, as long as he brings a movie! ;) It was the first time he did so and I was a bit perplexed as to which movie he would choose, but it turns out he remembered that Almost Famous was my favorite movie and he rented another Kate Hudson movie ;)

It’s very weird movie. At first, during the Kate Hudson part, I thought it was rather bad. But then the movie grows and goes in all directions – I loved the Frances O’Connor act (plus, I had just fell in love with Mansfield Park, how appropriate). Adam is a peculiar character and at the end you are not really sure what your feelings for him are. Anyway, it’s certainly not the best movie I ever saw, but it’s worth a look, and don’t let the boring beginning stop you!

It was uncomfortable to watch – he’s a sleez. And in the end she marries him and is a semi sleez also. Too bad – because I usually like Kate Hudson movies.
