I had been wanting to read this for a very long time, and started last month. I wanted to know where the movie image of the monster had come from and if the story in my mind was accurate. Of course it wasn’t! It was a great book, I loved reading the actual story, rather than having a silly interpretation of it in my mind. I really enjoyed it, and may decide to re-read it one day, when I’ve gotten done with reading the rest of my books.

This has always been one of my favrorite books. Right now, though, I’m reading it for my Women Writers course. It’s great when scholastic reading and leisure reading converge.
