The instant I set eyes on Mo’s Bacon Bar, I had to try it; bacon in chocolate? How weird is that? Could it possibly good?
Well, yes, it could be. The milk chocolate itself is delicious. I don’t know if it was extra delicious because of the salty flavor mixed in… In any case, it’s an interesting and tasty idea. Not something I’d want to have every time I eat chocolate, but I am open to trying it again.
One thing tempers my enthusiasm: the bacon in the chocolate is chewy. I didn’t like the texture. I like my bacon either crispy and crunchy or greasy and flabby, but not chewy. And chewy stuff in chocolate is not so appealing to me – this is more chewy than chocolate-covered raisins, even.
My curiosity is piqued, and I’ll probably try a different Vosges chocolate bar next.
