This isn’t a typical SK story- there’s no monsters or ghosts except the real kind. The kind we see everyday because we are the true sources of evil.

A lot of people I’ve talked to disliked this one because it seemed to real. I agree. It does seem very real. And that’s why it’s good. Parts of the book are disgusting reminders of the things we in our American society have done to each other over time- bigotry, rape, abuse of power.
