Richard Dawkins just isn't very good at this. — 1 year ago
There’s something very awkward about how he meets people simply to show them that he doesn’t believe what they believe.
He makes some good points, but he seems to lack a certain kind of understanding of what he is trying to achieve and what he could possibly to to win people over. Simply telling people that you think what they believe is false and that you think science backs you up doesn’t seem to work. (This opinion is in spite of the fact that he and I are coming from the same basic viewpoint.)
Christopher Hitchens works in a similar vein but is much more palatable. I highly recommend his work for anyone who enjoyed this. Try “God is Not Great” on audiobook.
