While this book wasn’t overly exciting, it was very easy and quick to read. Nick Hornby has certainly written better.

A very interesting book. Witty. Insightful. It brings to the surface many questions that we frequently ask of ourselves – am I good person? Good enough?
I was a little disappointed in the ending, though – it seemed almost like the author just wanted to stop writing, and so did, without providing a proper tying-up of things

How to be boring and unlikeable, while trying too hard to be quirky and loveable.

Not as enjoyable to me as other of Hornby’s work - compared to the protagonists of his other books, the narrator lacks personality; I’m not sure if that’s a difficulty with Hornby trying to write a female character, or if she’s supposed to be like that - but still worth a re-read.
