One of the most annoying reads of my life. I felt as if the author was gravely underestimating the intelligence of the reader. Several times while reading this book i wanted to scream aloud in frustration with the stupid dialogues and idiotic characters.

Nick Hornby, why did you do this to me!? Thank god its an easy read so the suffering isn’t prolonged.

While this book wasn’t overly exciting, it was very easy and quick to read. Nick Hornby has certainly written better.

A very interesting book. Witty. Insightful. It brings to the surface many questions that we frequently ask of ourselves – am I good person? Good enough?

I was a little disappointed in the ending, though – it seemed almost like the author just wanted to stop writing, and so did, without providing a proper tying-up of things

How to be boring and unlikeable, while trying too hard to be quirky and loveable.

Not as enjoyable to me as other of Hornby’s work — compared to the protagonists of his other books, the narrator lacks personality; I’m not sure if that’s a difficulty with Hornby trying to write a female character, or if she’s supposed to be like that — but still worth a re-read.

Weird! Loved it.
