High Fidelity was a part of my book club. I’ve owned the book and movie for years; I love the movie but I had never read the book.

It was a fun read and I identify so much with Rob…the music obsession, the being stuck in a shitty situation, the friends who don’t help.

Rob of the book is much more of a whiner than Rob of the movie and for that reason (and the fact that Lisa Bonet is in it) I like the movie better.

one of the best fictions about music i’ve read. reminds of the days i’ve spent geeking about music.

Got this for my birthday, and it’s a quick, fun read. I think I like it more than I liked the movie, which was a lot.

My introduction to Nick Hornby’s writing, and one of my favourite books ever.

It’s good when a book is a lot like the movie, but not this close! I like to get a little something extra out of a book if I’ve already seen the movie. More characters, more depth, something! I might as well have watched the movie again.
