repetitive plot — 2 years ago

I enjoyed this movie to a degree, but I didn’t think it was very good, if that makes any sense. I found the storyline too repetitive. They just had the same basic event happen but rotated the characters through that same experience. It’s like the writers out of ideas. I didn’t find any of the characters likeable. I didn’t like the idea of how happy the brunette bi girl was to hear Isold say that they could renew their “girlfriend-ness” every week. How desparate could this girl be? I also think that the lady’s man professor will never, ever be able to stick to a marriage. I thought his wedding at the end was ridiculous. It’s like they were trying to make everything end happily when it was obvious that the circumstances as chaotic as they were weren’t going to end up that way.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Wonderfully fun look at romance and sexuality. Boy meets girl, boy meets boy, girl meets girl, love em, leave em, relove em, find em, lose em, refind em, get engaged, get unengaged, marry em, don’t marry em, have a baby by em but not with em. Poetry as foreplay. Foreplay as poetry. I mean, what is NOT in this movie? The Irish Film Board can take a bow. I really enjoyed this mix and match movie.
