The Toltec way of thinking is so akin to the teachings of Buddha, I felt like I had read it all before, but I was very impressed by Ruiz’s succinct writing. He’s boiled it all down to four basic agreements: Be impeccable in your word; don’t take anything personally; assume nothing; and do your best. Commit to these, follow them, and (he says) you will escape hell and discover heaven. So easily written. I intend to make these four the cornerstones of my 2007 life plan.

Very educational. I knew nothing about the Toltec beliefs prior to reading this. Intriguing. An inspirational and beautiful way of viewing our beautiful world :) This book is a guide to truly living.

Chapter 7 was specifically moving for me, I wanted to underline the entire chapter.

“I WANT YOU TO FORGET EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER LEARNED IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE” .... read it. It is short, and so is life.

This is such a wonderful book.I’ve read it a few times and I’m starting it again.
