Roald Dahl’s books have this ability to create a fantasic story right in your head and take you to strange new places. I loved how this book made me feel as a child and how it still has the ability to make me feel that way.

It’s been forever since I read this! I always forget how damned weird it is. And I love how James, who’s never been anywhere and never seen Cloud Men before (because no one has!) suddenly knows everything about everything when they’re up in the sky—“Oh, that’s because it’s rainbow paint. Rainbow paint dries really quick.”

Scrumdiddlyumptious! Now I need to go watch the movie…
