I love Super Mario Kart to pieces. I still play it today, sometimes through ZSNES over the internet with other people. It is still as much fun to play now as it was when it came out.

The characters are just adorable, and they are all animated wonderfully. I always get a chuckle when I hear a loud rumble and see Donkey Kong Jr. fly by and raise his hands triumphantly into the air. Each character plays differently as well, with DK Jr. and Bowser starting slow but getting a fast top speed, and Toad and Koopa Troopa taking off the quickest. The tracks are all well laid out, and range from ice courses, to water courses, to courses on bricks built over lava like the Bowser levels in Super Mario Bros. Rainbow Road to this day still has me at the edge of my seat as I play it, as it has so many twists and turns and holes, and no walls. I love all of the Mario Kart games that I have played over the years, but so far this one remains my favorite.
