WORTH CONSUMING!
Good to be back in Edinburgh. The book opens with an interesting case or two and the reintroduction of some previously minor characters, along with a slew of new names. The stories proceed with decent pacing and concerned the right level of society (no high high political dealings here).
Overall an enjoyable story, augmented by the new faces, whom I hope we’ll see more of. Ultimately, though, I felt like we could’ve done with a little more Rebus face/head time, as the new characters meant the story was split a little more than usual.
