The fact that the story is dirivity didn’t bother me as much as the fact that it felt lean. I felt like stuff was left out. And after seeing how long the book is, I can understand why. Lots of stuff was indeed left out. Putting it back in would have made the book better.

CNN recently had a special where they explored the nature of genius. The final segment of the show featured an interview with the author of the book where he talked about how he wrote the book when he was 15 as a practice to see if he could write a real book later.

Yes, the story did feel like it was written by a teenager, but the movie wasn’t that bad.

Why couldn’t they have followed the book closer???
