I just didn’t like it. Aside from the fact that the drawings themselves annoyed me, I didn’t really like the story. OK, some of the images looked cool – but they weren’t in the majority either. I love comics and I love Batman… I apparently don’t like Frank Miller. Oh well.

A first foray into comics. It’s odd that I’ve never really explored the medium properly; I’ve definitely been exposed to it plenty through friends and subcultural overlap and so on, but it’s always been a world that has seemed a little mysterious and insular to me. It’s probably high time I got over that and checked it out though, and so I’m starting with a few classics recommended by people who know their stuff.
