This is the story – now fairly well known, due to the related film that was produced – of the boy whose idea to change the world took off, in small ways at first, and encouraged people to help strangers.

It took me a while to get into this book. I knew the rough plot but found the style a bit confusing, switching between the main story and several minor subplots. But I gradually got into it, and found the ending extremely moving.

Well worth reading.
