WORTH CONSUMING!

To this day, three years after having read it the first time, this is still my favorite book of all time. I picked it up on a whim, seeing Gaiman’s name and loving his Sandman comics I figured it couldn’t be too bad. I couldn’t put it down, and finished it in only a day!

The characterization is wonderful, and you’ll find yourself falling in love with both Crowley and Aziraphale, despite their odd flaws.

If you’re a big fan of either Gaiman or Pratchett, this is a must read.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It’s been so long since I read this and I really want to again. This was my first taste of Gaiman, who served as the perfect foil to Pratchett who at the time I was entirely too enamoured with. I can’t believe it took me almost 2 years to read more Gaiman and almost as long to get a little bored of Pratchett (After 2869 books he’s beginning to wear me down, I haven’t read his last like…5 novels, because to be honest they just appeared out of nowhere; I thought I’d leave one for a month or so, maybe wait till it was in paperback or something, and the next thing I knew he’d written 90876 more.)

Anyway, wonderfully tongue-in-cheek, funny and just…intriguing. Good stuff, I thought- my first foray into anything quite like this (and led me onto Robert Rankin and all the strange quirks that lie therein. Dance of the Voodoo handbag indeed.)

Anyway, give it a go- if you don’t like it you can always put it down :P

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I was in a foreign country and this was the only book available at the time, so I read it from cover to cover… it took me weeks. There is a lesson for me here: never travel again without options. This seems to be a cult book, well… different strokes for different folks. I’m staying well clear of both writers from now on.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I had been terrified by “The Omen” when I watched it at the age of 13 (or maybe 14…) and then I read this book…Just brilliant!!!

I had the best time, every time I read it and let me tell you it has been quite a few times. There are so many memorable quotes or moments :-) One of those books that stick with you for life.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The first half of the book had me writhing around with laughter. Then it went a little south… but still an overall great read with a lot of oomph behind it. A sweet story that might challenge your perceptions and what you take for granted.
