Bewildered — 2 years ago
I just watched this movie this morning. I have to say it’s left me a little bewildered. The movie switches between three stretches of time. Her childhood and how she became Edith Piaf, the moments around her hearing and singing Je ne regrette rien and her death. It was at times tough to figure out the complete puzzle and where I was in it. Definitely not a movie for the early morning.
The movie left me with some questionmarks, especially when suddenly Edith’s ‘little ghost’ gets revealed. I’m not sure yet whether I like that about the movie or not. But the acting is wonderful and the movie is beautifully shot. It dragged me in, which is what good movies should do I guess.
