This book has an interesting premise – a herd of sheep decide to figure out who killed their shepherd. But the first half starts very slowly, there are too many characters, and the religious characters were negatively portrayed.

In the end, it was just an average book.

I guess this book was a little too cute for my taste. I didn’t even make it to the end.

A shepherd is found dead in a field and his sheep investigate and solve the mystery of his death. The story is cute if a bit difficult to follow at times. The characters (human and ovine) are interesting and the story itself is a fresh take on a mystery. I decided to pick it up because Carl Hiassen recommended (on the cover).
