Not a lot of character development in this book. Goldie seems to have gotten a bit stagnant, which surprised me, because after reading Double Shot, (a far superior book to this one) I thought Goldie’s life was in for a lot of changes. The author never really addresses how Goldie feels about the jerk being murdered or how her and Arch feel about Gus being Arch’s halfbrother, they just seem to have started excepting both things, in the time that took place between the books, which I felt was kind of strange, but still the mystery element was kind of interesting in this book, even if the author decided to reveal all the important details late in the book.
