I took me forever to finish this. Partly because it’s an audiobook, and I only listened to it while running. But mostly because it was getting on my nerves. All the scientific explanations from the aliens that tied up nicely with the medieval “natural philosophy” from the priest, it sounded like the author was saying “oooh, look at me, I’m so smart for pulling this off”. I kept imagining an arrogant jerk with a smirk on his face. Urgh.

I liked the ending though. :)
