That it manages to be sweet and watchable despite the rather obvious ‘messages’ and predictability… wait, it’s CUTE! Don’t expect too much from this cartoon, and it’s highly enjoyable.

I loved the “lighting” in the animation; it gave it a very French feel. Very cute movie!

Great plot, great story, great animation.
I’d have to say it amused me more because the sounds, sights, and nuances of the kitchen made sense to me (used to work in restaurants). I loved the characters in the kitchen (Horst, and his menacing thumb!) and how Linguine was trained in the movie.
Would watch again, but understand how it fell short of some reviewers’ expectations.

Great animation. The movie is about 20 minutes too long though. It’s definitely worth watching.
Over rated.
It’s decent, but compared to Finding Nemo or another hilarious Disney film Ratatoille falls short.

Nothing special, but a cute movie : ) ! I liked the mobile-game.

Great movie. Very well hand-animated characters, brilliant music and an evolving storyline. And of course, it is very funny. Thank you Pixar!

It’s a great movie! I saw it in theaters the day of the release and then bought it as soon as it came out on DVD. It’s definetly one of Pixar bests (I’d say it’s the best, but I think I still prefer Monsters Inc!). The colors are great, the story is funny, the music is good (I love the song by Camille).
The DVD itself is okay, but before Cars Pixar released such good DVDs that one cannot help but be a bit disappointed by this one. But still, the menus are great, the two short are also. More making-of would have been appreciated, but it’s a good idea to mix the filmmaking and cooking views of the creative process.
On the weekend following the DVD release, my boyfriend and I did a themed night and cooked a ratatouille with my family before watching it! It was great fun (though ours was slightly less pretty than the one in the movie, but what can you do!).
Fairly typical Disney/Pixar fare. It wasn’t as surprisingly marvelous as Finding Nemo or The Incredibles, but it didn’t disappoint. And I try to rate movies based on what it’s trying to accomplish and not some grand, overarching scale.
I have to admit the scenes with all those rats kind of grossed me out a lot. Lot of big, furry rat bodies scurrying all over the place. GROSSSSS. But Remy was endearing (and I’m sure the production/design team made sure he was just “cute” enough) and as a total foodie I really enjoyed imagining eating all that food, kind of like Top Chef.
