"Mr. Skeffington" — 47 weeks ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I was never able to buy into the idea of Bette Davis being so irresistible. Made me very glad that she didn’t get the role of Scarlett in Gone with the Wind. The story still works (after all, it could be updated as the Dina Lohan story), but it was all just too over the top.

so campy! when bette davis is old and sick in the movie, she clearly has fabric on her face to simulate wrinkles.
