I personally thought the book was a very good read. For a law major like myself, this was a pleasant read against all the legal garb i read all day. The whole series was good with twists and turns all the way through. I commend the author for her dedication to her characters and making sure that the reader felt a connection with each of them. Though it could get lengthy at parts, it added to the suspense of wanting to see what happened next.

This series is terribly written. i read most of the first and wanted to see how this woman could keep writing such bunk, it had to improve at some point. but nope, it’s so boring.

so much useless banal minutiae that builds up to absolutely nothing. was she paid by the word? there is no need for these novels to be this long.

there is something interesting in it. for some reason i do want to know what happens, but I’ll just wait for the movie instead of slugging through this novel. there is just so many other things i should read first, like every other book written in the world.

This book is a mix of teen angst, romance and action sequences. Personally, I thought it was too long. I think with a bit of pruning it could have been one of those books I didn’t want to put down and devoured in a couple of hours, instead I kind of struggled through some of the parts thinking, when is something going to happen?!? For me, it didn’t live up to all the hype.
