Honestly, this isn’t one of Sedaris’s better books. The essays seem too short, they’re hard to get into, and once you do get into them, the endings don’t exactly deliver the way they usually do. It’s still Sedaris, so it’s still a great read. There are some really great stories in here, but there are also some really mediocre stories. Overall, it’s just not his best.
