ahhhh!!!! Was this a horror move?? Nicolas Cage’s hair gave me the creeps. This whole movie was terrible, including the acting and the story line. The love story was disturbingly unrealistic and gross.

If you want to spend a couple hours staring at Nicolas Cage’s new hairline, this is the (action-packed) movie for you.

For some reason, I presumed that this movie was going to involve a love story between Nic Cage and Julianne Moore. But apparently their 4 year age range was overlooked for an 18 year gap.

Nicolas Cage + Jessica Biel = creepy, not hot.

I haven’t seen the ending yet but I can only hope she turns out to be his daughter… although that would make the kiss weird in retrospect.

What a weird film! My only semi-positive comment is half-kudos for not going for an obvious ending. Sort of.

My main reason for watching is that I’ve seen every other Philip K Dick adaptation, and besides – the idea of being able to see two minutes ahead of yourself is pretty cool. Alas, they do very very little with that ability: a couple of scenes of the two minutes ‘rewinding’ to give our ‘hero’ another go; probably the best effect, when he tries out all the possibilities; but mostly just “oh look – he knows exactly when to move to avoid blah blah” which isn’t exactly a visual effect, just choreography.

Mind you, the actual SFX really weren’t that great. Actors in a car with fake scenery outside? Oooh, yeah!

Mostly, the movie is just an action flick, with most of the attention fixed on a rather weak and unbelievable ‘love’ story thread. Yawn. Could have been so much more interesting.

While this movie does have some plot holes that exist even in the I can see two minutes ahead time frame. Over all it was an enjoyable experience. It is by no means a must see movie, but an entertaining diversion that you could watch.
