Not one of my personal favorites — 4 years ago
I have to say that this wasn’t one of my personal favorites. It wasn’t terrible, I just thought it lacked some dimension, was overley predictable and the characters weren’t as fleshed out as I like them. Overall the story concept was good but it seemed to be a bit sluggish in the pacing for me. Not a bad read, but not one of the best, I would definetly recommend Holly Black or Melissa Marr over Frewin Jones. But If you like the genre, its worth reading just to get a little bit of a diffrent “perspective” as the author sets the story in London. Whis leads me to another question. . if the main character Anita/Tania is from London, then why does her slang and mannerism etc. make you think of her as more AMERICAN then British. . . this is one of the things that made the charcters a little to flat for me.
