Dockside is Susan Wiggs’ third novel in her new Lakeshore Chronicles. It tells the story of two would-be childhood sweethearts who are thwarted by various life events only to find each other many years later to rekindle a long-brewed romance. Usually, I’m hyper critical of romance novels that leave out the “romance,” but I enjoyed Dockside all the same. Grade: B
