WORTH CONSUMING!
Jack Whyte’s prose is always worth reading, but this book was a bit of a letdown after Knights of the Black and White. The climax reached in that book was not followed-up upon, and there was a lot of slow passages with very little of interest. I appreciate how Whyte educated us about the times, but I was hoping for a little more focus on the Templars or the Order of Sion. I’ll still stick around for number 3, but the trepidation is back.
