It usually hard to find a novel completely devoted to wolves and without very much anthropomorphism. Wolf provides us with that one special book. This book is based off a true story. It follows the struggles of Marta and her pack, who are all relocated to an unfamiliar and dangerous land after Marta’s mate is mistakenly killed by ranchers. Wolf shows us what the life of a wolf is like, and that it is, in fact, a very tough life filled with ups and downs. Though there was a great amount of wolf death, I adored this book. It has hardly any anthropomorphisizing of the wolves and it stays very true to actual story of the wolves that the story is based on. Very much recommended.
