i remember watching this on t.v. when i was a kid and being absolutely fascinated. i now see how neutered the version i remember is though. although the s & m stuff isnt touched on very long, it certainly didnt make its way into the tv cut, and it looks like it didnt make it into the theatrical cut either. this is the cut aired on the monster movie network, and im glad to see it in all its glory.

this is a brilliant old-school horror flick, with people turning into monsters, brains being eaten, tits flyin around for no good reason, black dudes just waitin to die and plenty of make-up and models. its pretty dumb overall (my girlfriend actually called it the stupidest movie ever), but good dumb, and there are some genuinely imaginative things going on here. but in the end its just a silly semi-gross out horror movie with a few pretty amazing moments (biting off a phallic pineal gland sticking out of the head = brilliant!)
