Yesterday, I went to see Iron Man merely on a whim—I just happened to be at a mall killing some time when I saw the posters for this movie. Before that, I didn’t know almost anything about the character; I wasn’t one of those people who were eagerly waiting for its release. So I went inside the theater with little expectations.

It didn’t disappoint. The movie rocked! I’m not into comics so I don’t know if the story stayed true to canon, but it sure didn’t leave me in the dark. There were parts that dragged (it was the same parts that made me go, “Come on wear the suit already!”) but the action sequences made up for them. I initially had doubts over Robert Downey Jr. donning a superhero suit, but he did great actually as the egotistical Tony Stark (the role seemed to be custom-fit for him, heheh). He and Gwyneth Paltrow had such great chemistry on screen, it kinda made me feel sorry that I had to miss their dance scene only because I had to go pee! Oh, and I loved the soundtrack!

I’m just not sure though if this film is alright for little kids to see. There were scenes in it that made me want to put my hands over the four-year-old boy sitting beside me. Adults, however, are going to have a fun time watching this.

Here’s a tip for those who are planning to see Iron Man: Stay in your seats up until the end of the credits. ;)
