WORTH CONSUMING!

A very short read at under 66 pages, you can read it in less than a day …. but it is direct and to the point. I particularly like the method that General Smedley suggests for future involvement in wars; the eligible young being the only ones allowed to vote on the issue. Also, he makes a logical argument for the US staying out of what would become World War II. Highly recommended, because despite how long ago it was written it is still quite relevant … since our foreign policy hasn’t moved an inch since that time.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This short book/essay is every bit as relevent now as it was back in the mid 30’s when it was written. In fact, it’s astounding how relevent it remains. And it’s sad to see how little has changed. It always has been and seems like it will always be war for profit, not democracy.

Butler has three recommendations to stop future wars and those should be the focus for a brand new anti-war movement. Read the book to get those three ideas, it will mean more than me just copying them here.

PEACE.
