although im not too crazy about jdilla’s rapping (blasphemer?), his beats are amazing, i love how they span that divide between jeepfriendly and atmospheric. thats why i love this collaboration, because i love madlib’s voice, but his beats are usually erratic, his attention span obviously short. his rhymes are usually simpler, they just kind lilt along and tell a silly story in a clever way. seems too short though.
