WORTH CONSUMING!

OTHER GARBAGE BAGS

Stores that use biodegradable bags:

- Metro (grocery store): they use NaturSac.
- HMV
- Shoppers Drug Mart
- Jean-Coutu
- And a lot more

Brands:

- Eco II 100% oxo-biodegradable (pretty cheap: 2$ something CAD for 24 bags)

It’s all I got for now plus the other ones I mentioned in the other entries .

WORTH CONSUMING!

I went to the Home Hardware and asked if they sold biodegradable garbage bags (I thought the other brands were a little expensive and wanted to check out all the brands to see which ones were cheapest), and they did: Bio-Solo. 20 Fully Biodegradable Mini Kitchen Bags (17” x 16”). They cost 2.59$ CAD (about 13¢ a bag), the cheapest I found.

With my goal of trying to be non-recyclable products free, and with food scraps, coffee filters, tea bags and other compostables going in the composter, my garbage bags doesn’t fill as fast. My fiancé and I throw out maybe one garbage bag a week.

WORTH CONSUMING!

EVERYBODY in the world should use these bags to throw their garbage out instead of normal plastic bags (either bags bought at a store or grocery bags). Biodegradable bags are so much better for the environment – they degrade much faster and don’t cause pollution! The bag I used for my garbage, which I got from a store that use the NaturSac to put your purchase in – I just don’t remember which store (I am planning on trying out bags from BioBag in the future), says that “This polyethylene EPI bag will degrade in about 12 months depending of the exposition condition”.

I am planning on also buying bio poop bags. I don’t have animals but I know people who do and I think it would be a great gift to them and the environment.
