WORTH CONSUMING!

If you want a story with a beginning, a middle and an end, look elsewhere. If you want a story with a happy ending (indeed, any ending, as such), look elsewhere. This book is a searingly honest exploration of a Father and Son travelling some time after the (unexplained) apocalypse. The language is poetic but sometimes challenging, and the lack of “proper” formatting may annoy some (no apostrophes, eg dont instead of don’t, and no quotes around spoken words). But it’s a book you can easily read in a day and it may well give you a renewed appreciation for the world you live in now.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It was still interesting. Although if he always writes like this (“Ten thousand dreams ensepulchred within their crozzled hearts”), well, spare me. Also, they all seem violent. While violence is one way to explore human hearts, it is a cheap and cheating way.

WORTH CONSUMING!

A post apocalyptic Lone Wolf and Cub. The babycart is replaced with a shopping cart.
