NOT WORTH CONSUMING
It was a lovely novel, full of beautiful passages and evocative images, but it was confusing and disjointed, like a fevered dream—perhaps that was the intention, but if I hadn’t seen the movie, I doubt I would have been able to follow the storyline at all. And the ending was quite unsatisfying, again perhaps the intention, but it still doesn’t endear me to the book.
