Even after finishing this book I’m not sure what exactly it’s about. 74 Seaside Avenue is the seventh book in Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove series. It sort of felt like reading a G-rated soap opera. At fleeting moments I actually found myself enjoying the book, but that didn’t last for long. I started to get irritated by the characters’ weird behaviors. Where was the cultural diversity? Would Russian mobsters really kidnap an international chess player? Why does everyone in Cedar Cove drink tea???
