I wasn’t sure if the sequels to Dune were going to be any good – I’ve not heard many overly-positive comments. However, going in with that frame of mind is probably best, as this was enjoyable as sort of a ‘and what happened next’, without coming close to living up to the scope of the original.

This is a very slim volume, too, really just finishing off one bit of Paul’s story post-Dune.
