Really quite terrible. — 2 years ago
Truly dreadful prose; completely unbelievable characters, dialogue and fight scenes; disjointed and unabsorbing plot; and a fourth-wall-breaking littering of seriously bizarre comic-bookish sound effects throughout. The idea had a good lot of potential, but alas, I don’t enjoy books solely for their potential. Having read this book, I’m avoiding all the Alice in Wonderland movies, miniseries, etc., that are currently coming out, out of sheer unwillingness to be reminded of the crap+cheese of this book. Hopefully, finally reading the original Lewis Carroll work will cleanse my soul and allow me to eventually experience other adaptations. Just not any from this universe, ever again, please.
